The Salik electronic toll road system in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, uses RFID technology to automatically deduct a fee when a toll gate is passed. Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority launched the Salik toll on 1 July 2007. Salik tags contain an electronic chip that can be read by scanners at toll gates. In all weather conditions and at all speeds, it provides accurate and reliable vehicle identification.
Through Salik website and Smart Application 1. The customer fills in the required details. 2. After the successful activation of the tag, the customer can easily make the desired amendments to the vehicle through the website and Smart SALIK App.
Through Dubai Drive App 1. The customer logs in to the Dubai Drive App, chooses Salik then Tag Activation. 2. The customer fills in the required details. 3. After the successful activation of the tag, the customer can easily make the desired amendments to the vehicle through Dubai Drive App.
Through Dubai Now App 1. The customer logs in to the Dubai Now App and chooses Tag Activation. 2. The customer fills in the required details. 3. After the successful activation of the tag, the customer can easily make the desired amendments to the vehicle through Dubai Now App.
Through Salik call centre 1. The customer contacts the call centre on the following number: 80072545. 2. The customer follows the voice instructions. 3. The customer provides the numbers of the tags and the details of the required documents. 4. The Salik tag is activated.
